Dr. Dokyoung Yoon is a physician epidemiologist in Health Sciences Center of Exponent, Inc. Dr. Yoon specializes in application of sound scientific principles to medical, pharmaceutical, and environmental health issues. He utilizes his extensive medical experience, epidemiological principles, and statistical analysis to find the root-cause of concerns, to weigh the efficiency of measures, and to solve complex problems effectively. His unique combination of capability and experience in health science field has tremendously benefited hospital, pharmaceuticals, insurances, chemical manufacturers, non-profit organizations, and government. He believes sound sciences and strong ethics will help human advances and benefit the earth.
Dr. Dokyoung Yoon is a strong advocate for humanitarian actions. He served for the United Nations as a Peace Keeping Forces medial officer in 1997. He participated in numerous humanitarian relief actions and led humanitarian relief actions in Sri Lanka during the tsunami disaster in 2005 and in Indonesia during the earthquake disaster in 2006. He donated a founding asset to Coordinated Assistance Network and contributed in establishing epilepsy patients centered website, NoMoreSeizures.org. He founded Malaria.Net to help building self-help efforts, to promote public health measures, and to social coalitions.
Dr. Dokyoung Yoon is an avid sportsman. He circled the Korean peninsula as a solo-cyclist in 1985, honored to be awarded Black belt in Judo in 1987, won 4th place in SCUBA diving navigation competition in 1988. He founded mountain unicycle club in Korea in 2003 and was the president of the club until 2006.
